SCOTT GLICK

Scott Glick is a communications strategist and consultant who founded Glick Strategy, Inc. after serving more than 20 years at the New York City Police Department (NYPD). As the president of Glick Strategy, Inc., Scott analyzes agencies, corporations, and individuals – and develops highly successful communication strategies based on the goals of each client. 

 

Prior to retiring from the NYPD in November 2022, Scott was an original co-creator of the NYPD’s social and digital media platforms. For more than six years in that position he was privileged to tell the story of New York’s Finest using social and digital media – reaching a local, national, and international audience strategizing with mainstream media for maximum impressions. He was also charged with providing critical safety information to the public using social and digital media during times of major crises, including three terror attacks in New York City, as well as ensuring the reputation of the department. Scott advised and created communication plans for multiple police commissioners, including Bill Bratton. He also counseled high-level executives on the department’s digital and mainstream media strategy, as well as the importance of internal communications.

 

Scott has created proactive, comprehensive internal strategies to engage employees and collaboratively share information up and down communication channels, ensuring workforce wellness and inclusion. He has also created plans to bridge the gap between external and internal communications, meeting employees on platforms where they consume information – video, audio, written, and social sharing – to make certain they receive the message from employers.

 

With countless media contacts, Scott has worked with local, national, and international organizations to place and create stories amplifying the message of each client utilizing local and national media networks. He has designed digital media campaigns for best-selling New York Times recommended books and non-profit causes.

 

Scott has been requested by national organizations to train hundreds of media and public information professionals across the United States on how to strategically use social, digital, and mainstream media to tell their story, grow their audience, and surpass planned goals.

 

Scott has been published by multiple media outlets, including Newsweek, The Telegraph, City and State New York, as well being a guest on radio shows.
